Hello Im so happy I made my first stuffed toy!! :)
Heres how:
1) Have in mind what kind of body, ears, hands and feet you want your monster to have.
Draw them on paper and then transfer the pattern over onto a piece of fabric folded into half (so you get double pieces), then cut the pieces out.
(in this image, one hand is missing because I was still cutting, and I got impatient and took this shot)

2) Now that you've cut your pieces out, align the pieces together and hold them in place with pins.
3) This part is a little tricky, work on the inside of the monster like, hmm, on the reverse side so that you'll be able to flip it out when its done. The wrong side of the fabric should be facing up when aligning the body parts.
But first, stuff the ears, arms, and legs with warding.
When that is done, use the other piece of body fabric and sandwich it over what you've just aligned and pined. Check to make sure that you've pinned down all the parts so that when you start sewing, you'll catch all the fabric and not leave any out.Leave some space for seam allowance.
Sew around. OH and leave a gap in between the legs of the monster so that you can stuff it with cotton or whatever later when you're done.

4) Flip it out. And tadah, a flat monster.
5) I stuffed my monster with polyester wadding. Can be bought at spotlight! They are having sales now!! Sew up the gap that you used to stuff the warding in. hmm, I used hemming stitch, so that it is hidden and not so visible. I used buttons for the eyes, and cut out a small piece of fabric and used blanket stitch to stitch on the mouth.
and tadah, mr monster is done!!
